A support role

The plan yesterday was a meet with my mentor’s church in Kabe, chat with the missionaries for a few, then head to Kichijoji to meet with Jon in the afternoon. Getting to Kabe was a breeze, but it took me about an hour to find the church. And I got about five minutes with one of the missionaries there, who didn’t know my mentor, didn’t know who I was, and frankly, didn’t care to talk to me. So, technically, I’ve only seen the outside of the building.

Right, well, I can improve on that. How about trying to meet Jon and Kokobunji instead of Kichijoji? I reall could’ve used a temporary keitai, just for these last few days.

Meeting with Jon and all of his Korean classmates was pretty awesome. Only one of them is a believer, the rest are just plain old students at a language school. We headed over to a park behind the Ghibli Museum (of which I forgot to take a photo). We just ate lunch and sat around, trying to guess if they were speaking Japanese or Korean. It’s really hard to tell, especially when I’m getting a little mentally burnt out, since I haven’t been able to improve my vocabulary much.

After that, I went home a little early for dinner with the family, and then stayed up to watch CODE BLUE which is Raye’s favorite show. At least this episode, I got rather interested!

I’ve another video, but I’ll have to post it retrospectively.

View the recap but beware, it’s a bit long and wordy. I think it’s some of my best work so far, as I added some background music. I could’ve used a second take on a few of the shots. Needless to say, things have improved since then.
